Kenichi, a single man close to 40, suddenly finds himself standing in the woods of another world. Kenichi re-establishes his base at the lake near Astrantia where he makes picture books with Anemone and Anemone makes a new friend her age.

After fending off an attack on Crouton, Kenichi secures the Chicory to save Mary and helps them immigrate to Norspaul before Primula finally catches up to him in Astrantia.
